After August 8, 2018, the cholesterol screening offered by CDHD will shift from a walk-in clinic to a by-appointment option. This will allow you to schedule a time that works best for you. More details to come. The final walk-in clinic will be held on Tuesday, August 7 in Boise and August 8, 2018 in Mountain Home.

Everyone age 20 and older should have their cholesterol measured at least once every five years. The higher your LDL level and the more risk factors you have the greater your chances are of developing heart disease or having a heart attack.
Screening includes HDL/LDL levels, Cholesterol/HDL ratio, triglycerides, blood pressure check, and nutrition and exercise guidelines.
You must fast for 8 to12 hours and drink plenty of water to hydrate your veins. Recommend no alcohol for 48 hours before your visit.
