Boise Seniors Invited to Lunch and Fitness Classes
The Boise Senior Activities Center offers hot lunch every weekday and Fit & Fall Proof classes every Tuesday and Friday. Seniors can do ‘one stop shopping’ by visiting the center for lunch and sticking around for the free Fit & Fall Proof class afterwards.
Lunch is served at noon every weekday at the Boise Senior Activities Center, 690 Robbins Road, and the Fit & Fall Proof class begins at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Fit & Fall Proof classes help seniors prevent fall-related injuries and the subsequent loss of mobility and independence. Class participants learn simple exercises that increase strength, balance and endurance, which can help prevent the accidental falls and tripping sometimes associated with age.
For more information on programs at the Boise Senior Activities Center call 345-9921. To learn more about Fit & Fall Proof classes call the Central District Health Department at 375-5211 or visit us online.
