Family Planning clinics provide counseling and contraception to enable men and women to plan when and how many children they wish to have.

Birth control choices at CDHD include:

  • Oral Contraceptive Pills
  • Nuva Ring
  • Depo-Provera Shot
  • Intrauterine Devices (IUD)
  • Diaphragm fitting and prescription for device
  • Spermacides
  • Condoms
  • Natural Family Planning

Teen Clinic

Central District Health in Boise provides a Walk-in Teen Clinic Thursday afternoons from 2:30-5:00.

Services offered are wellness exams, pregnancy testing, reproductive health exams, contraceptives, STI/HIV counseling, testing & treatment.

Cost

Most charges are based upon ability to pay. A sliding fee schedule makes the majority of the services affordable to low income clients. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, debit cards, Medicaid and insurance.

Confidential Visits

Parental involvement is encouraged, as parents can be positive influences on a teen's health and well-being. However, neither parental consent nor notification is required for a teen to receive services. Idaho Code 39-4502 & 39-3801.

All information gathered is kept strictly confidential and no personal information will leave the clinic without client permission. Parental consent for the Hepatitis B vaccination is required for those under 14 years of age.
