Universal Vaccine Coverage or Not?

May 22, 2009

On April 8, 2009 the Idaho Deparmtent of Health and Welfare (IDHW) announced that it was going ahead with plans to require families with insurance coverage to be responsible for paying for their children’s vaccinations effective July 1, 2009. The decision came as IDHW learned that federal stimulus money would be less than projected. However, changes could be in the offing and insured parents may be spared the extra expense of paying for their children's vaccinations. Please return to this page often for updates on the situation.
